Hoodoo Hollow

The Hoodoo Hollow is a gallery exhibition that presents a theoretical souvenir shop for Bryce Canyon National Park. Souvenirs have served as physical reminders of travel and memory since the Roman Empire. Although they are meant to represent an authentic connection to place, many modern souvenirs are mass-produced, often generic, and disconnected from the locations they claim to represent.

This project explores how souvenirs can be reimagined to feel more personal, distinctive, and rooted in their environment. Inspired by the whimsical and otherworldly hoodoos that define Bryce Canyon’s landscape, The Hoodoo Hollow offers a collection of playful, textured designs that reflect the character of the park. The exhibition includes original product designs, a cohesive brand identity, and retail touchpoints that come together to form an immersive souvenir experience.

The goal is to create keepsakes that go beyond simple memorabilia. Each item invites visitors to celebrate their journey while forming a deeper connection to the place, offering a tangible memory that reflects both the wonder of Bryce Canyon and the individual’s experience within it.
