Innocence Bruised
Innocence Bruised is a photography series that explores the harsh realities of childhood chronic pain through semi-unsettling, dreamlike imagery. The series depicts stuffed animals, once symbols of comfort, placed in nightmarish scenarios that reflect the isolation and fear associated with living with chronic pain as a child. Through these distorted, surreal scenarios, I aim to capture the emotional and psychological toll chronic pain can take on children, challenging the notion of childhood innocence and highlighting the resilience required to navigate such an experience.
